zoo placement questions

I am wondering if zoo's will attach themselves to rock or do they have to be placed on a flat surface. I had them on a flat spot as was worried that they were not getting enough light, so i moved them and a couple of hours later they fell off that spot.
Any suggestions?

Thank you

Sure they will grow onto the rock but its not going to happen over night. It could take weeks/months for it to happen.

So, the polyps aren't actually attached to anything right now? Use some Loctite Super Glue Gel to attach them to a piece of rubble or rock.

Just make sure it's the GEL type. The loctite works great. Pull the frag out put the gel on, when it hits the water it will skin over then just twist and hold.

Not underwater you have to pull the rock you want to glue out for a few mins.

It always works better when a particular coral doesnt have to make a huge jump from one piece of LR to the next, the glue is an effective bridge.

i dont take out the rock. I just take out the frag, put a dab of glue gel on it and quickly stick it on the rock and hold for 20 seconds. It works great everytime!!!

zoo placement

When I first received my zoo polyps, they came without live rock. What I did was place them in a clear deli cup with a small piece of live rock in an area of the tank with low flow. I left the lid off the deli cup to ensure there is some degree of circulation getting to the polyps. After week and a half they had attached themselves to the live rock. hope this helps

I stuck mine in a porous rock and it took sometime for it to grow out of that hole. Now I have 7 and they are spreading like a wild fire.
