I only see what looks to be pebbles in the first pic, and what looks to be apstasia in the second.

Yep aiptasia. If you can take that rock out hit that spot with a torch. Kills them every time.

There does seem to be some confusion on this, the pics are of the same spot but taken minutes apart, the 'aiptasia' was not there in the first pic but appeared mins later. Are you sure it's aiptasia?

Aiptasia will go back into the rockwork to hide when anything gets by them. It looks like Aiptasia from this pic, but I could also guess as a second guess a feather duster worm. A better pic might help.

my guess would be a Flabelligerid worm. if you where to dig it up from the sand you will probably see something like this.

that is not aiptasia, that im sure of.
