Green Coralline Algae?
My tanks is about 6 weeks old. Past the diatom stage...
My live rock is starting to turn a bit green in spots and the purple coralline is growing slowly as well. The green parts are not slimy at all and can't be scraped off with a toothbrush. Could these green patches be green coralline algae? Any way of getting it to go more purple than green? |

Sounds like coraline to me. As for more purple growth, it will come very soon. Most coraline will start out green and than you'll get the purple growth you want.

Great, I love your avatar by the way.
If it was nuissance algae I would assume it'd appear slimy ands be able to be scraped off relatively easily. |

I think coralline comes in every color. I see cool pale blue and green under rocks in near darkness and also deep crimsons, greys, orange and yellow along with all the usual purple/coral/pink colors
