calling all diy skimmer experts
I just modded my css 125 with a sedra 5000- I left the bubble cup intact. It is very large on this skimmer. Should I cut it out? I think it is smashing the bubbles together.

Give it time to break in to see what happens. Skimmers will do strange things at times.

What is the purpose ofsuch a large inner chamber. It extends 3/4 of the body. Dosn't this cause more turbulence.

you'd be much better off with a sedra 3500, i think you are overpowering that skimmer body.
