Q: DIY Garlic Recipe

I'm wanting to start soaking food in garlic. Rather than buying a commercial product, I figure I could make my own. Does anyone have a DIY recipe?

I have garlic and know how to chop, puree, smash, etc . . . but do you dilute it in water, boil it to sterilize it, etc . . . ?

I use a garlic press. Then i put the garlic into a cup with the food i'm feeding that day, add some zoecon/selcon and let it sit for 30 min. Then into the tank.

I was reading that its not good to let the garlic sit for too long. The important part of the garlic that is released in defense of you cutting it loses its potency rather quickly. So it is important to get it into the tank ASAP after putting it through the garlic press or chopping it up. Other than that, no real recipe for me.

I'm not saying I know all this for fact, just some reading I was doing.

I've heard things to this degree as well. I wonder if the chemical that is released just breaks down quickly when it hits the air or what. I figure if i get the pressed garlic onto the food right away, the food should soak up some of that chemical. I donno for sure, we probably will never know until an actual study is performed.
