computer fan for cooling...

If using a computer fan to cool the tank...what kind of ac adapter do I need or where do I get one?

Trust me my friend, the names are not important at all. I've own hundreds of different zoas and palys and don't know the name of a single one. In my opinion, they are a waste of valuable time.

You will need a 12V adapter. I got mine at Radioshack. You need to make sure that the ohm rating is atleast twice that of the fan(s) you are using.

I wouldn't use a computer fan to cool a tank. There isn't enough power IMO. I'd use one of those clip on ones from Walmart ($8) or a Vornado ($39) - then you don't need to fuss with an adapter.

Like the others we used the 12v adapter from Radio Shack.

i have a 12v running 8 led moon lights and 4 80mm fans on 1 adapter.... i suggest gettin one that is adjustable.. that way you can control the fan speed if you need...

but those clip on fan work a lot better tho...

I took an old plug AC adapter from one of my old electronics and used that! It ended up being 9v, but it moved more then enough air! And it was free!!!
