okay, i read the other post on this, yes, the 80 page one, but i still need some help. My prob is this skimmer is inconsistent with pulling garbage out of the tank and i HATE the bubbles all over my tank. I also HATE that bubble diffuser thing. I have the 220 model, and i want to know if someone can send me a picture of their mod that ended the bubble issues and chances of it overflowing. I am going to home depot tomorrow for supplies, and I would like to know the exact pieces to get, and if that particular mod (ie PVC mod) works. thanks for your help!

I'm sure you know the standard bits about the Coralife Superskimmers - critically (INSANELY) sensetive to water levels.
In my experience, a BARELY changing water level will cause them to either overflow or not pull anything at all. The only way I was able to get any consistency at all was to install an auto top-off system. |
