Adding sump/ref to existing tank

Hi again, how would I got about adding a sump/refugium to my aquarium which is done cycling as far as i can see, 0 ammonia/nitrite/nitrates 8.2/3 ph stable for a week+ now.

If I add live sand and rock to the refugium that's not cured could result in ammonia spikes and so on right? I would have to cure the LR, most likely rubble,in a seperate container first I'm guessing, but how about the sand??

O yea I am using a HOB protein skimmer, and canister filter.

I wish the search button was better so I can search anytime.

No special needs when adding a sump. The only cycle issue you would have is if you used uncured rock. Other than that, you are only adding water volume. New sand will not cause any spike either.
