Unhappy problem with tank!!!

I am having a big problem! Since I have been taking summer classes I have not been able to really take a close look at my tank...well I thought I would just take a close look today and noticed some bad things!

I don't know why this happpened! This was some hairy mushrooms.

I have noticed a small colony of xenia has died.

and I have also noticed that one of my acros had this slime look on the base about an 1" upwards. All the polyps were dead!! I then checked my bird nest and I noticed a small piece the same way!!!

It somewhat looked like it was cyno on my acros! I have cut off the acro and the piece of birdnest in hopes that that slime thing doesn't continue!!!

Please anyone help? Im going to run a full test of my water tomorrow just to make sure all is good?

I did place some dental floss in the fuge to trap microbubbles? Do you think this can trap a lot of nitrate/nitrite and be cause this? :?: :?:

Definitely test your parameters. What's the temp at? Has it changed drastically over a short period of time?

Keep us updated so we can better assess and solve the situation.

Ok I ran a full test on my tank and I have found the following numbers...

pH - 8.2
NH3 - 0
NO2 - 0
NO3 - 0
Ca - 380
PO4 - 0
KH - 107.4ppm
Temp 80-81

I see that my KH is a little low and I need to raise it.

OmarD, I didn't check it last night due to the fact that I work 30hrs wk., volunteer 10hr wk, go to school 24hr wk. and still have to find time to study for weekly tests! I just couldn't take the time yesterday to test my water params. I also do try to make the habit of looking at my tank on a daily basis but sometimes you just can't do it.
