questions about qt tank
Im planning on starting a 90 gal or 120 gal reef tank. Not sure yet I just like how wide the 120 is. I have a 15 gal fowlr tank right now. It has 2 compact 20 w 50/50 bulbs and a bio wheel filter for 50 gal tank in it. Will this tank be good for a qt? Also once I bring my fish home and acclimate & release them in the qt tank, when I move them to my regular tank do I have to re-acclimate them? How long should I have the new fish in the qt?

you should always re-acclimatize, just in case there are temp, salinity, or pH differences, but it probably won't be quite as drastic as bringing something home from the store. Your qt tank sounds fine.

The tank should be good for a QT. You will want to take out the LR and sand if there is any, you can add some PVC tee's or L's for fish to hide in.

I'm shooting for a 4 week QT process and if there any problems adjusting the time for dealing with those.
