i know its kinda late, but did you consider not using a chiller and merelly having tubing go deep in the ground to act as a radiator? I know the PC overclocking crowd does this sometimes. I know its not as high tech as a chiller.

Just thinking aloud.

I thought about that and decided that there were too many unknowns. You would have to go pretty deep here. Plus, you hit rock quick. That might be something to consider when I build my 770 in about 20 years!

My tnak finally came in last night and I'm going to pick it up this afternoon. I've been waiting 7 weeks for this thing. Perfecto had some sort of glass shortage or something. All of there special order tanks were put on back order. 150 Extra High is a standard tank size, but it only comes with one overflow! You have to special order it to have two overflows. I haven't been in too much of hurry to get it just because I haven't been ready for it. I've been busy doing all of the prep work. But, there's something about doing all of this work and not having the tank yet. Anyway, I'll post some pics tomorrow!

The tank is here! I picked it up last night. It was pouring down rain, but I couldn't wait. Now I can finally get down to business. I'll finish painting the canopy tomorrow and I should be able to get the stand, tank, and canopy in place by Monday.

This was a special order tank. I've been waiting about 7 weeks for it to get here.

Last night I finished installing my Cat5e cable for my tank network connection. I'll hook it up to the AquaController III that I ordered.

The cable runs up the wall, through the attic, back down the wall, and to my router.

This is just too cool. I'll be able to adjust settings, monitor tank conditions, receive e-mail alerts, manually turn on and off lights and other equip., view data, and more. All over the web on my computer. NONE of this I HAVE TO HAVE! But, you have to admit that it's pretty cool! Oh the money that we spend on toys!

Better hope the copper bandits don't come along and cut everything and steal it. Will your tank drain through the coolant lines ?
