Getting rid of aiptasia can take a lot of patience. There are lots of methods to do it though.

If you can take the piece of rock that aiptasia is on out of the tank and there's nothing right near it, you can take it right to the tap, and allow hot water to run...slowly, without any force...right on the aiptasia. That will kill it.

If the rock can't for some reason be removed from the tank, if the aiptasia isn't near anything sensitive like some coral, use a turkey baster filled with hot fresh water and slowly push the water onto the hole where the demon is. That will almost always kill it. But do it with care. You can use a hypodermic needle filled with hot water and inject it slowly into the aiptasia when it's close to something that you don't want to damage.

other things that can be used to kill them are pickling lime(which is the method icurrently use),kaulk paste(which ive only read about),and ive also heard of people using extra high salinity saltwater will do the trick too.

note....usint the pickling lime doesnt bother me much as it adds alkaliniy to the water....which is almost always welcomed.

I read from another thread that Alkalinity Plus in a small injector directed right at the hole nukes their rears. I had a few in my refuge and I tried it, I did get a little precipitation from the Alk and my Alk test did go up a small amount, but it melted the bugger and I have not seen any side affects from doing it (yet). I am sure this is the same as the pickling method mentioned, but it was a chemical I had on hand, so I gave it a shot.
