They slime up so glueing is difficult. If you're fragging though you can glue some substrate to the side of it then frag. If this is a new addition however many try placing some bridal veil over it and rubberbanding the material to the rock. Some even sew the corals on the rock, and I've heard of toothpicks being used too but the bridal veil is the easiest I think.

Depending on what you're trying to mount; a good method is to pierce the soft coral near the bottom and then use rubber bands to hold the toothpick in place on a rock. I've used this method for leathers. Eventually it will grow onto the rock.
Some others may do better being held in place with the "bridal veil" material mentioned above. |

I've done the rubber band thing, and if you go that route, just make sure that the rubber band is just tight enough to hold the coral but not pinch it. You don't want to damage the frag with a band that's too tight.
I've also had good luck just sticking the base of my frag in a hole in the live rock that I'm attaching it to. Sometimes you get lucky and the rock has a hole just big enough for the base of the frag. Urchins have a bad habit of carrying off frags mounted like that though

I use snail shells for most of my soft corals. Just put them in the hole and they will attach in no time. They look cool also.
