A good chiller !
Currently I am searching a good and silent chiller for my 200g setup. Since now I have been using a Teco chiller, rated for approximately 600 litres and that's why I need another one because this alone is not enough.
The Teco is a very good brand but expensive, hard working and very silent. I bought an Aqua few days ago, but it is terrible noisy and so I want to replace it with another brand. What do you suggest please? |

Man, i agree with you i have a small Teco that is the quietest workhorse. Hard to beat size, noise level. My JBJ was rather silent but it started leaking after a few weeks. Also, alot bigger than Teclima/Teco. You have to understand, chiller is an appliance that WILL go bad so with international brands ie, Teclima/JBJ/CCurrent, there are no quick fixes, you need to have a spare chiller. My favorite and what i have now on my 180 is a 1/3 hp that is plumbed outside. It is Trade Wind brand which is definatley noise compared to the TECO but it;s not an issue since its plumbed outside. It is a domestic chiller so i can send it back for quick repairs. I still keep a spare chiller though(the Teclima). JOHNNY
