it is made by salifert. but before doing the treatment make sure to read the instructions well and do everything to the "T" or it can crash a tank. if used properly it works well.

Do you have a really good skimmer? The worst thing with any of these mass-treatment solutions is that if you have a wimpy skimmer you can end up in deep trouble, because it can't pull the crud fast enough, before the sandbed crashes, overwhelmed by crud.bb
Stand by with water changes, really good skimmer, and absolute adherence to instructions.

I think melev has a flatworm exit story on his site, as well. One thing I remember is that you should get as many out as possible before treating, to limit the amount of crud (do these guys have a toxin?).

Personally, I've been slurping them up at water change time, trying to keep them down to a dull roar until I have a few days at home to use the FWE.

A good canister filter with polishing cartridge can catch a lot. Just make sure it don't also catch small fish. Follow that up with the Exit.

The flat worm exit works wonders.
then the skimmer, and I use my extra fluval404, filled with reef carbon in all chambers, along with a water change.
and again change the carbon, after running for 4 hours.
And run another 8 to 10.
How ever,,,,,,,,, if you can, remove any clams. every other creature in the 185 did fine, I removed the clam to a bucket. He was fine,,,,,,,,,,,and the tank has been flat worm free ever since. 2+years....

Flatworms release a toxin when they die, the carbon neutralizes it. And yeah you should remove as many as you can before using the exit. Just follow the directions and you should be fine.
