rics sand or rock

im thinking of growing some rics to sell should i grow them on rocks or sand ? i thik i may do sand so they are easyer to cut when i wanna split them will it work? will they slit on there own on sand?

I have an all ric tank. I put them on various places, and when they split i get a container with rubble and they will attach themselves. Plus it's easier to sell with them on something.
