well ive been working on my 55g reef for about 1 month now. coming along alrite i would imagine. past the cycling stage and have some livestock. with LR. thought id post some pics and you can all let me know what you think.
Full Tank good rock setup? thought the boat was a creative add.. i dunno.. gives the livestock a place to hide sump and skimmer. return in the back behind the tank.. kinda hard to see whats going on there. if ya really want ill try and get up close. 2 of these .. call em Jaque and Piere.. (loved finding nemo) 2 scaredy cat Chromies... second one is to the left behind the rock if ya cant see him..... or her.. let me know what you think or would like to see.. or any suggestions im very open |

Nice work , looks great. Only that boat scares me. With low or no water flow this could collect debris and cause high nitrate readings. Also after a year or so you wont even know its a boat.

Anywhere food , waste and debris can settle , overtime will cause higher readings. Good water flow is important for O2 exchange and debris piles. Just go by your readings. Mb knock a hole in back to let flow through. Most fish perfer smaller confined spaces to call there own. The larger more aggresive fish dont need to much cover.
But its just well aimed advice, tank looks great and GL. |

If there's an opening in the back of the boat, you might be able to hide a small power head or at least an air tube but pumping water in it to create circulation. My .02 worth anywho. But overall good job!
