Acrylic cracks...

I just noticed these the other day... hairline cracks along the inside edges on top of the tank. This is my first acrylic tank (72x20x24) and its been up for about 18 months.
Is this normal with age, or should I be concerned?
Any help would be greatly appreciated... Dan

do you have a halide right above that spot? looks like the acrylic is starting to craze. i would be very concerned....just out of curiosity, who built your tank?

Yep, two halides above both openings but more towards the back. The pics shown are of the front edge, the rear edge with halides about 8-10 inches above look normal. Unfortunately I dont know who built the tank.. I purchased the tank from a reputable LFS who I've trusted for years. The owner has access to any builder out there, we discussed Tenecor and others at one point, but instead went with a local tank builder who apparently did excellent work and warrantied his work.
Is there anything I can do to stop the cracks from spreading?

Thanks again..

BTW... Late edit to original post. Tank has been running for 8 months.... NOT 18 months.

Great idea.. I've have two, 2 ton screw jacks under the floor and had to add about a 1/4 inch shim under the front of the stand before filling.. I used a level and measured corner to corner with good results. You've got me wondering if things have changed since then though... I'll be doing that this afternoon.
