peppermint, eat anything?

My peppermint shrimp likes to eat anything. When I mean anything, I mean as in dried fish blood that was on my fingers from fishing, he just ate a bristleworm, and he eats those big pods. I appreciate it doing this, but I'm wondering if its safe for it?
