HOB Filter
Reading a different thread here today someone mentioned a hang on back filter Tetratec PF 300. anyone know anything about them? I have a 29 gal with no sump. Just a Aqua C skimmer and 2 power heads. would adding a filter like that help the tank and if yes then why

If you've got over a pound per gallon of live rock (which you seem to have) then no, it wont help at all. In a 29, you cant even have that many fish due to space issues...so any fish that WILL fit in there together, are going to be plenty small to have their bioload taken care of by the rock.

you will increase nitrates with hob. get your self a sump. its worth the wait and the effort.
