Skimmer on the Aquafuge PRO...

anybody have any expierience with this? Is it a good skimmer? Or is it just so-so? Thanks in advance...

Here is what I'm trying to put together... I'm just in the pre-planning stages right now but here goes:

40g Breeder tank from AGA 36"L x 18"W x 16"H

Custom stand so that the tank sits at eye-level when your standing... possibly a custom hood too, but we shall see about that.

36" Current USA Outer Orbit light fixture

I was thinking about the CPR Aquafuge PRO but I'm jus tnot sure about the skimmer that comes with it. The CPR Aquafuge PRO measures: 31"L x 12"W x 14.5"H and I plan on having it under the 40g display in the tank stand.

One detail I forgot to mention: I'm not sure yet if I want to try and drill the tank or just use an overflow box... any suggestions as far as that are welcome. Thanks

No experience with the Aquafuge Pro, I do have the regular Aquafuge.

I think the general belief is that combo, built-in skimmer setups aren't usually as effective as separate pieces of equipment.

I had the set up on my 120 for a while. It worked fine because it depended more on the caulerpa than the actual skimmer to remove nutrients. The skimmer worked ok. It skims similarly to the bak pak.
