Lighting Question
Would this be 2 much light for a 30 gal tank 36" long?
It has a 10000K 250 W Halide bulb 2 96W Actinic bulbs and I believe 2 blue moon led's? Oh yeah it is a reef tank. Total wattage 442 WATTS |

Not to much light, but maybe too much heat. You would definately need to monitor the heat and unless your room is really cold you might need a chiller (fans for sure).

I'm not being sarcastic when I say this, but why does it not seem to be much light? 250 watt halide should be pretty bright by itself then add another 192 watts of actinic seems as though would be extremely bright for a lil ol 30 gal tank...

Well the tank doesn't really give a rats a** how much light it has.
You might give your fish a little suntan and a bubble corall would be wearing shades but acros would be jumping for joy. |
