is it my peppermint shrimp?

after a power outtage and losing nearly my entire tank, I currently have just a sixline wrasse, a peppermint shrimp and a number of snails and hermit crabs. as of recently a number of my snails have been dying, one by one, my tank is finally where it should be after my last nightmare, could it be the shrimp or the wrasse eliminating these snails? or is there something else I have overlooked. I am stumpped and dont want to add anything else to the tank till I figure out why they are still dying.

I doubt the fish or shrimp would attack a live and well snails. If the snail is already dying, then the shrimp would go after it.... after all, they are opportunistic feeders.

You could also have an unwanted inhabitant in your tank? Are all the dead snail shells in one corner or specific location? If so, you might have a rock crab or a mantis shrimp. They would go after the snails.

What are your tank params?

tank params are spot on. I pulled a mantis out of my tank about a month ago. figured I had taken care of that. they shellsa are scatterred throughout the tank but it could be a second mantis. was told by my LFS that there is generally just one. more than one is rare. is he FOS??
