Equipment Questions

My g/f's parents bought a complete system from off of here and are nto using all of the equipment. They have offered to let me have it. So im getting a pair of Seio 620s, another overflow and soem other assorted stuff.

I have a couple questions though.

What are these?

I can get this Phosban reactor, but dunno how to use it, anyone care to help me out a little?

the top ones look like quick filters for powerheads, you put a micron cartridge in them (basically a fine filter pad) then shove them on a powerhead. They work fairly well and can clean up a cloudy tank pretty quickly.
The phosban reactor needs a small pump (I use a microjet pump) to pump water to the bottom via the tube then up through the media (phosban, activated carbon, purigen whatever). you need a return tube with a small valve on it to regulate the flow. I beleive those are one inch ID tubes.
