Gen-x PCX40 questions
Hi could someone that uses this pump chime in and tell me how loud it is and if it transfers a lot of heat to the water please. Any other info you think might be helpfull would be appreciated as well. TYIA

ive had 3 different pcx40 pumps over the years on a couple different tanks and can tell you that the pump cannot be beat for the price. on a side note i had 1 of the 3 that was on the loud side and the other 2 where not dead silent but was tolerable. i never noticed any heat increase with these pump.

I use one as a basement return pump pushing ~ 10' vertical. As above, its a great pump for a great price. Mine is not real quiet, but I think that is in part to the head it is pushing. I have it T'd off to also feed a fuge. If I open the valve up and send more flow to the fuge (less head), the pump gets much quieter. Its an air cooled pump. I dont have any heat issues.
