Tunze Nano Skimmer

I've had a 12 gallon nano for probably a year and half now and Ive decided that its time to get a skimmer for it. The algae growth in it is insane and Im hoping a skimmer will help reduce nutrients in the tank, thus reducing the algae. A skimmer that Im currently looking at is Tunze Nano Skimmer

Does anybody have any input on this skimmer? How does it curculate the water through it? I dont see an intake or outtake in the picture. Thanks

I just put the Tunze Nano ReefPack 200 that come with the filter as well. I haven received it yet so I don't now how well it performs, but I've been told that is is great for nanos.
