75/90 g aquarium stand

anyone ever take out th emiddle brace to add a sump to a 75/90 g All glass aquarium stand, with a setup tank?

It is commonly done. I did it with my 110 (same base as 75/90). It also depends on the structure of your stand.

I was wondering the same thing - right now I have to settle for a tiny sump because the middle brace goes from top to bottom and front to back essentially giving me to small areas to work with.

I toke it out and never put it back in my 75 gal. r.r. all glass. my sump is 2 rubbermaid bens 50 gal. 14$ at lowes.

I would remove 95% of water, and take middle piece, place sump, put middle piece back, and refill

oh and don't worry about draining the tank, its a safe practice, commonly done when removing a fish, etc. I have done it few times, just be quick

ps. just water, do nothing else,

Sam, my tank has ben up and running for 8 months. i can put the piece back from underneth but it`s ok.

it may be ok, but why risk it,

I like to take every precaution possible, 75-90g is a lot of water
