new tank, cycling questions
hello,
I´m setting up a new tank, and have had live rock in water with flow and a heater for a few months. I´ve mixed saltwater in the tank now, and am planing to add the new sand next and then the live rock and the rest of the water that the LR has been in. Will I have to do anything else or is this enough before I add some livestock? Thanks B. Mortheins

While I would wait a tad longer than a day before I"d say your good to go, you'll probably end up with a small cycle. I'd give it at least a week and test during that week just to be safe. Make sure the ammonia & nitrite levels are both 0ppm and make sure nitrates are in an acceptable range prior to any livestock purchases.

after you have waited--start with a clean up crew first --wait another week and start with your fish.
