Precision Marine Bullet 2 Skimmer

I can get a second hand one for a great price with a mak-4 pump. Its in great condition but I do not know much about these skimmers. What is your opinion?

Can they be used in-line or do they have to be right in the sump?

Thanks

You can use them externally as long as you have the retrun from teh skimmer plumbed so that the water doesnt have to travel upward. In other words, if you can plumb the outflow from the skimmer such that the water flow isnt restricted, they work fine externally.

So if I have the sump drilled and then keep the return from the skimmer at or above that, it will be ok?

What about the performance of these guys???

I have one and it works exceptionally well. You need at least a mag 18 to run it properly, though
