Glasscages coral tanks
Is anyone using one of the Glasscages.com coral tanks for a display tank. I was wondering just how it looks as a display.

I'm just curious, but are you aware of the issues (customer service, quality) associated with GlassCages?

I wasn't going to buy from them. I was just wondering how a tank with those dimensions look as a display. I've aways thought about how a shallow tank looks as a display.

I find that the silicon job is too sloppy for me!

Tanks those dimensions are intended to be used mostly as propagation tanks, I believe. I'm not sure how they would look at all...
You wouldn't get much of a side view, but from the top-down it might look kind of cool. If I were to have one, I think I'd place is waist height. |

Also, I'd go with some sort of pendant lighting system and opt for a "rimless" tank design

I purchased a tank from them for non display purposes, mainly just because of the low price. I was fully aware of their reputation for so-so quality and poor customer service before ordering so I knew what to expect. They met my expectations

Do it right and shallow tanks look great - treat them like normal tanks and it's not so good. You have to be able to place the tank so you can look down from the top.
