Purigen and/or Chemi-Pure while cycling my nano?
A lot of nano reefers have recommended Chemi-Pure and Purigen, but I have a couple questions about them:

Should I use them while my BioCube 14 cycles, or wait until I stock?
Are they necessary when running a skimmer?
I plan to keep mostly mushrooms, zoas, leathers, xenia, and a few LPS.
Thanks!

1. It's not necessary, but might help a tiny bit.
2. I run carbon, even though my tanks mostly have skimmers, since carbon can adsorb some organic compounds that skimmers can't touch. I don't use media like Chemi-Pure anymore.

Thanks, Jonathan! I think Chemi-Pure has a lot of carbon in it, so I guess I'll use it after my tank cycles (since I already happen to have it lying around) and then switch to pure carbon.
