Skimmer Burping?
I just hooked up a CSS to test and the output "burps water"
What do I need to do to eliminate the burping? ![]() I do not know much about skimmers as this is my first attempt with an in sump skimmer. |

The Tee has a cap with a hole drilled in it, but even if I remove the cap it still burps.

you're probably gonna have to raise the output tube so its not below the water. But not to much, cuz then you'll get splashing and salt creep. If you are getting too much splashing, you can try a filter sock.

So I looked at the airline tubing (venturi) that goes to the PH and it has water that backs into it like there is not enough suction to keep air constant.
Is that normal? Can I prevent that? |

I had a CSS 220 it did the same thing so I eventually bought a new skimmer. That was after two pumps died on me.

Make sure your airline is above the water line in your tank, this should help in the removal of the residual water and also will aid in the air flow into the venturi!
