T5 vs. T6
What are the differences between the T5 and T6 lighting fixtures?

The width of the bulb. That's it. The wattage, strength of the light bulb, and it's effects on corals and other reef life will be almost identical. T6's are slightly wider then the slimmer T5's, but both should/would work fine as a lighting source for a reef tank, IMO. That's my understanding of the situation, and I run T5's. I hope that helps.

I believe T6 are also available as VHO, vs. typical HO for t5.

T6 bulb selection is very poor, get T5HO and totally forget about T6.
