PC best configuration?
4-50/50 2-10k & 2-actinic 2-10k & 2-50/50 2-actinic & 2-50/50
wich one is the better config. for starting a fish & live rock aquarium? Im new on this hobbie and want to start right.. PS.my english not to good sorry... |

1 of 10,000, to 1 of actinic, gives a light that is pleasing to the eye but also useful to the corals. Just how you achieve this either both in each bulb or by seperate bulbs, is just a matter of convenience.
Just be aware that 10,000k light gives a lot of light useful to the corals, actinic not so much, actinic is more just for our viewing pleasure. |

How many positions in your light hood do you have?
Look into Current SunPack PC Bulbs. We're running (2) 10,000K/6,700K daylight bulbs (part#2044) plus (2) 420nm/460nm) Actinic bulbs (part# 2046) - gets the full spectrum (as far as PC's go) on out 125 gal and looks/works good. goodluck |
