Freezing raw muscles? how to keep them?

Ok, so i just got my first humu humu trigger yesterday and he at a few mysis shrimp, but i bought him some raw uncooked, unpeeled shrimp and some fresh muscles. The lady at the grocery store said that freezing the muscles would be bad... So my question is, do triggers eat muscles, and how should i preserve them; freeze, cook, fridge? If he wont eat them and i cant freeze them i may cook them up for my self

I've frozen clams numerous times before. They're pretty similar to mussels. The clownfish and flame angel don't seem to be able to tell the difference between fresh and frozen.
