pistol shrimp question

Hey guys...I just bought a shrimpgoby and now really want a pistol shrimp to go along with it to build the borrow. My only question is that I only have about 2 inches of crushed coral substrate. Is this thick enough for them to borrow? Will the shrimp like push a bunch of substrate together to make it thick enough to borrow into?

Yep, he will. I don't even have an inch of crushed coral in my tank and he's made it into mountains.
