RO/DI question

I've been living in an apartment and I got an RO/DI filter about a month ago.

Since then I've had the filter located on the kitchen counter near my sink (It looks horrible there) and I've been putting my water containers in my sink to fill them (except for 1 night where I left it on the counter and it leaked all over the floor and into my neighbor's apartment downstairs - yikes).

Anyway, I'm buying a house (yeah!) and will soon be putting the RO/DI filter in my laundry room.

Since I do not have a sink in there, what should I do to avoid spilling water when the 5 gallon containers fill up? Is there some way to make it shut off automatically?

Do you have any links to a good DIY site that someone with no mechanical ability, like me, can use to build a doo-hicky that'll turn off the water when it gets full?

Thanks!

the cheapest way is to calculate how long it takes to fill the bucket then set an alarm clock to remind you to shut it off

buy a bladder tank and install it so your RO water is held in the tank, then when you're ready to use it it feeds through the DI. then you don't have to wait for it to make

you could add a float valve to the 5 gal. bucket if your rodi system has an auto shutoff valve. one the water reaches the float valve it turns it off. it is how most do it with their water storage containers. however most are bigger then a 5 gal. bucket but will work the same way
