Little bits of glass inside MH bulb

I have a 250 watt MH bulb and inside there are little pieces of glass. Is that normal or is there something broken. I looked at it closely and I don't see anything broken from the naked eye.

Thanks

If its a new bulb take it back. Little pieces of glass in the bulb does not seem right.

That's what I thought. I don't know where it came from.

I see it all the time on SE bulbs. It's probably either from the glass insulator on one of the support rods or when the glass envelope was seated into the socket. I've never had it cause in problems.

as long as nothing is visibly broken it's fine. little bits and pieces inside is pretty normal.

Odd, I've never noticed any little bits in my bulbs. I'd say fire it up and see what happens. If it blows out, take it back, or just take it back and inspect the next one very well before purchase.
