Running SE lamps on HQI ballasts
What type of life span can I expect on the bulbs with this combination?
I'm considering running the Hammilton 14000k 250w SE on a HQI ballast to get a PAR of 99 and a ice blue color. Anyone doing this or a similar combo? I'm curious if the lamp will only last a few months? I spoke to Hamilton and they said I might get 3 months out of it. I was expecting more like 7 or 8 months. Thanks, Greg |

I sell all my bulbs at 6 months and usually get 40-50% of my money out of them. Sold my four 14k hamiltons for $25 a pcs. I use pfo hqi's and had no prob so far. I use radiums now and will sell them as well when I'm done.

nyvp,
So you run SE lamps on HQI ballasts for 6 months? Have you run 14k 250w SE hamiltons on an HQI ballast? If so, how the color Thanks, Greg |
