Pacific Coast Skimmer

Anyone ever own or operate a Pacific Coast Skimmer? They are made by the same people who make the Octopus line of skimmers. The model I am looking at is the Ps-400P in sump skimmer. It is 25 inches tall which will fit in my sump. It says it will handle up to a 400 gallon tank. My tank is a 220 FOWLR with 40 gallon sump. The reason I ask is because its price is about half of all the other "good" name brand skimmers I have looked at. I am looking for a skimmer that will handle my tank but it does not have to be the "best" or most expensive one on the market. Thanks for any insight.

Ok, so maybe no one has ever owned a Pacific coast skimmer but have you ever heard anything good or bad about them.

The Octopus/Pacific Coast skimmers are an excellent bang for the buck. Out of the box they are good performers. Like most things there is room for improvement. A few simple, no brainer, mods and they become absolute animals
