FYI: Salifer and API calcium kits (2)

I'm not sure if anyone knows about this or not, I run a few searches to the related topic but found none so I decided to post to help my fellow reefers

As most of you that ever own the Salifer calcium test kit know that the miserable bottle of Ca-1 that comes in the test kit runs out really quick and you are left off with much more of the Ca-2 and Ca-3 which renders the kit useless without Ca-1.
Well I was almost out of the Ca-1 and decided to use/test the reagent from the API (Bottle #1, left over from that test kit as well) at the same drop usage as states in the Salifer instructions (6 drops), to my amazement the test gave me the same readings. So if you have the left over kit from Salifer and the left over bottle from API you can mix the two and make a new kit.

Always here to help and to share
I also posted the same message in my local forum.

Enjoy!
