14k Mammilton 250w SE experience

Looking for replacement bulbs next month...

I think I might want to try something with just a touch of more blue (but not too much)

I currently use 10k bulbs w/ actinic supplementation...

any experience with these bulbs is most welcome

Thanks

I just replaced my 10k with hamilton 14ks. I supplement them, but it's not necessary. I haven't had them long enough to experience any growth to compare bulbs, but so far I plan on sticking with them.

I use the hamilton 250 SE 14ks. I really like the color, as for growth I would have to say its not as good as say an XM 10k.

Hi

I recently changed my 250W 10k to 14k. If you had the 10k installed for a while (in my case 1 year) and make the change, it will seem unaturally blue for about a week. After a while you will get acustomed to them and you will realize how brilliant and alive the colors in your aquarium really are. It will look much cleaner and healthy that the yellowish tint of the 10ks. I am very very happy with my "Mammiltons" 250w 14k!
