Tunze Power Head Placement
I have a 120 gal SPS tank and have two Tunze power heads with the controller. Where in the tank would be optimum placement and where would it be best to angle them?

Either the back corners blowing to opposite front corners, or front corners blowing to opposite back corners. I've found that works well in my 120. Look in my gallery for my placement.

Agreed. I have them in the back corners blowing to the opposite front corner.

The best way to determine flow. Is to place them in different spots and see what works for your tank. Rockwork will effect flow and every tank is different.

I also have them at the back corners of my 150. They are positioned to blow to the opposite corners.
As the others said before, after you decide where to put them, you are going to have to fine tune them to clear rocks and to avoid disturbing the sand if you have any. |
