Current USA Prime Tower 1/3 HP Chiller reading 122 degrees?
My Current USA Prime Tower 1/3 HP Chiller is reading 122 degrees for some reason. When I set it I am able to set it to 78 degrees but while its running normal the temp read out is 122 degrees, any idea why?

I have the Prime Tower 1/3 HP model 2646. I've had it about a year. When I first got it the temp read 85 degrees when my actual temp was 80 (verified with 3 different thermometers). I called Current and they sent me a new temp probe. This fixed the problem for about 3 months. One day I cam home and my tank was 84 degrees. Called Current and they sent me another temp probe, did not fix the problem. Called Current and they sent me a new control head, problem fixed. Has been perfect for 9 months. They admitted to me on the phone they had some bad temp probes go into production and they redesigned. I guess I hit the lottery twice with the defective control head. They are real cool on the phone and very helpfull. Give 'em a call.

Mine is off by a couple of degrees too. It's been pretty stable in the 6 onths that I had it, but 2 degrees off (as verified by the temp controller, and a thermometer.) I also had a problem with a busted temp sensor when I bought it and had to call them to get a replacement.

Lots of issues reported here with the Towers, mostly the temp. control electronics. I have a Prime Modular which has the seperate Temp. Control. No issues outside of noise. But Tom is right, they are usually really easy to deal with by email or phone.
