help cleaning an acrylic tank

I recently set up an acrylic tank and used an acrylic "safe" magnet pad on the front pane. Acrylic safe my a**! There are tiny brush-like scratches throughout; like a black car with rub marks, if you know what i mean.

I followed the directions from hammerhead float. Is this what is to be expected?!? Can someone help me out, what to do next?

I will be going back to glass very soon if this is what happens.

Thanks,
