I moved a rock and did a water change. Came home today and it was in the rear corner, where the moved rock was. It must of been in the rock. I have had these rocks for over 8months. weird that i never saw this. Whatever it is. Cacoon???

It's amazing what you find when you look long enough. I've had a nudi 'appear' before, too. I swear I didn't add anything for months on end, so I'm not sure where it came from...but then it disappeared as quickly as it had appeared.

Nudi, maybe, or something dead that's starting to fuzz. If it goes off intact and moving, that's probably a nudi. It will either find something to eat in your tank [often what you don't want it to] or it will die of starvation.

Everything in my tank is accounted for at least the stuff I have bought. It has been in the same place since this post. Can this be a cacoon of some sort? Thank you in advance

i have little sponge pieces that always float around my tank.. they look similar... just less fuzzy. Could be some kind/part of a sponge

They secrete threads from glands on their foot to anchor themselves. When they want to move they cut the threads free. The thing in the pic is the discarded anchoring structure.

I have two. I did have three at one point but my cleaner shrimp was messing with him everyday and it died about 2 weeks ago. Could it be the remains of what the cleanup crew left behind. I left it decaying till the inside was clean.
