Pinpoint pH monitor defective??
I just received my Pinpoint pH monitor, and I think its defective... I've been trying to calibrate it with the solutions, and it just keeps jumping from one number to ther next! First 6.4, then 11.5, then 7.6, then 9.8 etc.... Is it supposed to do this? My old Milwaukee hand held monitor never did this.... Should I send it back?
By the way, I'm using the ac adaptor with it. Would that make any difference? Someone told me it would cause interference, and to use batteries instead.

I'd try the battery approach. That sounds like electrical interference to me.

If its near any ballasts it may be electrical interferance. The one I have sure dont like being next to them.

I NEVER had any luck with the ac adapter on my Pinpoint ph monitor; it did the same thing that you described. The battery works for me.

I used a battery and now it works perfectly. I'll send the ac adapter back.
