a little help

whats up guys just a couple questions can anybody help. my two feather dusters heads came off thinking they died i grabbed them but i felt a bulge in the tube so i left them in the tank ,are they dead or i heard some people say they were stressed and theywill grow back another thing is my fish seem to be breathing fast but my water is good ph is good ammonia is good nitrite and nitrate r good.

Never had a feather duster drop its head before, but have read they will do it and that they can grow it back...
As far as your fishs gilling is concerned, it doesn't sound like you have enough dissolved oxigen in your water.
'Are you running a skimmer?
How much flow do you have?
Do you have lids on your tank?

A skimmer and lots of flow (with surface aggitation) will help to add oxigen.

Lids on tanks can reduce surface contact with the air and in turn reduce the amount of O2 available to the water...
