little white bugs in refugium
i see tons of these little white bugs in my refugium, are these good or not?
also when is a good time to trim my cheato, been growing from a small ball to almost the size of my refugium now.... |

Moved to New to the Hobby for more views.
Most often, the small animals are good to have. They likely are amphipods, copepods, isopods, or mysid shrimp. I wouldn't worry. The goal is to trim the Chaetomorpha often enough that it doesn't get too thick, which causes die-off and decay eventually. I would reduce the depth of the Chaetomorpha when it's reached the bottom, and maybe thin it a bit, but try to cover the full surface area of the refugium.
