Need opinios on t5 bulbs
I just got a new 48" t5 setup from a fellow reefer and do not like the bulbs that it came with (its a hydroponic fixture) The light is very yellow (6k?) I replaced 2 of the bulbs with true antics..what would be a good choice for the other 2 bulbs...10k daylight bulbs?

It depends on what look you are going for if you want a bright whiter looking tank go for 10K if you want bluer looking go for a higher kelvin such as 12 or 14k with the lower kelvin rating your corals will grow out faster as well. but with the higher they will have better color

Putting 10K bulbs in the fixture with the actinics should provide a crisp white look with a bluer tint to it. If you go with 14K bulbs then the look is going to be pretty blue. Most fixtures seem to come standard with half 10K and half actinics.

Yea, I run 10K halides and the Giesemann 420nm actinics on my 110 and I really like the color that they provide.
